Nat Albany's strong Italian heritage serves this over-the-top shop well. Love the "no hovering" service model. Order, get food, and eat. As for small talk, fa-get-aboudit! Want more drink? Get up and get it. The staff is busy making superior homemade ingredient laden sandwiches. Even the meatballs in the subs are homemade. Compare that to Subway! I go there to eat, not foster relationships. Place a'int fashion plate: more of a dive, but who cares?
The Sandwich Shop has been around since the 70's. Menu is extensive but it's the burgers that won me over. Everything is made to order so don't be in a big hurry. One of the best old school cheese burgers I've had in a while! Patty was juicy but still had a crust from the grill. The cheese melted perfectly, bun was warm and toasty! Veggies were fresh and crunchy. French fries were hot and crispy, the chocolate shake devine! Heard their onion rings are good but they've been out every time I've tried to order. Prices have gone up but to be expected with supplies going through the roof. Give them a try, you'll love them!

A long-time staple in the town of Albany, Louisiana. Established since 1970. Old fashion burger & malt shop with pull up outside window and also a dine-in. A lot of kids work here as part-time jobs and summer jobs. So service is not the best but is good enough. Lots of selections of burgers and fries and shakes, malts, and banana splits. In the mood for a burger and shake. This is the place. Stop in and give it a try.
